How to safely exercise during a pandemic in the space for street workout, parkour or an outdoor gym?

The coronavirus pandemic and the necessary mobility restrictions have significantly influenced our form. The physical and mental condition of many people is deteriorating, and those who regularly practice sports had to temporarily stop training in public places. Although restrictions can be temporarily relaxed, all security measures still need to be taken.

Sport is good for health

It is true that even if fitness clubs can be opened, not everyone will decide to train in an enclosed space, which is associated with a greater risk of potential infection, than staying in the fresh air. As far as the current pandemic restrictions allow it, a very good solution is outdoor training and the use of exercise infrastructure that can be found there. Movement and exercise in an open space gives greater opportunities to keep a safe distance from other people, and above all, a much better air exchange. However, it should be remembered to maintain special protection against the possibility of contracting the coronavirus.

Disinfection is the key!

When going to the open-air gym, be sure to follow these rules:

  • have a disinfectant with you, spray it on your hands and the surface of the equipment,
  • do not touch your face before disinfecting your hands,
  • keep a safe distance from others, especially when choosing double-station equipments,
  • give up training if you have symptoms that are typical to COVID-19,
  • remember about general restrictions regarding the space in which you exercise.
